District Planning Officer
The Development Planning Department, also known as the District Planning and Coordinating Unit (DPCU), is responsible for providing leadership in the planning, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of all development projects and programmes within the District.
The Department plays a vital role in preparing Annual Reports, Development Action Plans, and Medium-Term Development Plans that guide the District’s growth and progress.
It monitors and reports on all development projects taking place within the District, ensuring they align with approved plans and national development objectives.
The Department also liaises with stakeholders to collect inputs necessary for the formulation of public policies and programmes. Additionally, it ensures that the capabilities, skills, and knowledge of staff are developed for effective and efficient service delivery.
