District SWCD Officer
The Social Welfare and Community Development Department coordinates and promotes social development programmes and policies aimed at improving the welfare and quality of life of individuals and communities within the Municipality.
The Department represents the Municipal Assembly and collaborates with regional planning units on matters related to social welfare, child protection, and community empowerment.
It also plans, initiates, and coordinates community-based projects, manages day care centres, and oversees services for the rehabilitation and inclusion of persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups.
