Hon. Joseph Appiah
District Chief Executive
Welcome to the Sefwi Akontombra District Assembly. The Assembly is committed to fostering inclusive development through partnership with communities, investors, and stakeholders to enhance infrastructure, social welfare, and economic growth across the district.
Our vision is to become a one-stop investment destination in agro-processing, providing quality services and creating an enabling environment for socio-economic development in partnership with the private sector and other stakeholders.
Our Commitment to You
As we navigate the challenges and opportunities before us, our administration remains steadfast in its dedication to transparent governance, accountability, and citizen participation. We recognize that sustainable development can only be achieved when every voice is heard and every community feels represented in our decision-making processes.
Strategic Priorities
Our development agenda is anchored on four key pillars:
Infrastructure Development: We are working tirelessly to improve road networks, provide potable water, expand electricity access, and enhance digital connectivity across all communities in the district. These foundational investments will unlock economic opportunities and improve quality of life for our people.
Agricultural Transformation: As an agrarian district with immense potential, we are prioritizing mechanized farming, providing extension services, facilitating access to markets, and supporting value addition through agro-processing initiatives. Our goal is to transform subsistence farming into a profitable enterprise that creates jobs and wealth.
Education and Human Capital Development: We believe our greatest asset is our people. Through investments in education infrastructure, skills training programs, and youth empowerment initiatives, we are preparing the next generation to lead and compete in the modern economy.
Healthcare and Social Services: Access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right. We are strengthening our health facilities, improving maternal and child health services, and ensuring that no community is left behind in accessing essential social services.
Call to Partnership
I extend an open invitation to investors, development partners, civil society organizations, and all stakeholders to join us in this transformative journey. Sefwi Akontombra District offers vast opportunities in cocoa production, timber processing, cashew cultivation, oil palm development, and ecotourism, among others.
Together, we can build a prosperous, resilient, and inclusive district where every citizen has the opportunity to thrive. Your partnership, ideas, and investments are crucial to realizing this vision.
Accountability and Feedback
Our doors remain open to receive your feedback, suggestions, and concerns. Development is a collective responsibility, and we are committed to working hand-in-hand with you to achieve our shared aspirations.
Thank you for your continued support and trust in our administration.
Akwaaba! Welcome to Sefwi Akontombra District
